Necotrans operates oversized transport of transformers in Algeria

A special transport of oversized cargo led by Necotrans is under way in Algeria.

What is this special logistics operation about?

In early May, Necotrans operated the special transport of 3 transformers weighing 70 tons each.

A convoy of 3 trucks left Mostaganem, a port city located to the north-west of Algeria, and reached the city of Naama, about 300 km south. Necotrans’ teams in Algeria also provide transformers handling to the final job site. Other transformers are currently transported or under customs control.

This contract includes different transports scheduled during this year. In total, 32 transformers of 70 tons each and one more transformer weighing 220 tons, will be transported, to final job sites, some of which located 2,000 km from port of arrival.

This oversized logistics operation, in door-to-door from the arrival port to the final job sites, succeeds another transport, completed in 2015, of 200 KW transformers trailers weighing 130 tons each, from the port of Setubal (Portugal) to the port of Algiers.

Still earlier, a logistics operation for the supply of shielded movable solutions intended to be delivered to final job sites across the Algerian territory, was completed by Necotrans’ teams.
